Be Good To YOU!

It is so important that you give yourself the kind of respect that you would give to someone who has lived through all that you have lived through. It is so important that you are compassionate with yourself, that you are gentle with yourself, that you are patient with yourself. It is so important that you continue to remind yourself that you have made it through tough things and that you will continue to make it through things. It is so important that you give yourself credit for what you have learned so far instead of comparing yourself with others. It is so important that you cheer yourself on, instead of putting yourself through the ringer. It is so important that you are fair and kind with this sacred information that you have about yourself. No one, aside from our Creator, knows what we know about ourselves, and so we must be careful and responsible and a noble guardian over these things.

You are worth whatever it takes for you to be respectful, kind, patient and good to yourself. Listen to your heart, listen to your dreams, listen to the things that hurt and take care of them. No matter how much someone else loves you, they can not know what it means to BE you, and so you must do the work of BEing you, and taking care of you.

There are many things that spread and spread and spread...far and wide and deep.
You could be THE ONE who makes a huge difference in not just spreading wonderful things, but in making sure that not so good things don’t spread so much.

One of the best ways you can do this, beautiful soul, is to stop the gossip when it gets to you. One of the fastest moving and most destructive forces around is gossip...and it not only hurts the person(s) who is the subject of the conversation, but it hurts the souls of anyone hearing it or spreading it.

Kindly tell the messenger that you are certain that there are valuable and wonderful things about this person, and that is what you are choosing to focus on...and let it go. You could either keep the story moving, or you could stop it with kindness and truth....

Because you see, it really is the truth....EVERYONE has wonderful things about them that we can focus on. If nothing else, focus on the fact that they are a fellow human being...that should be enough to compel all of us to speak with only kindness.

Back to School.......almost!

So getting ready for BTS (back to school) we had that yearly doctor appointment today.....Princess is measuring in at 4 feet & 4 1/8 inches.......really? at 8 years old!!! YIKES! I better start buying 5 inch heals! Weighing in at 62 pounds and both land her in the 65% for her age. Shocking.....I thought the height would of been a higher %.

Still has 20/20 vision....and passed her hearing test as well. Still struggling with some allergy issues...but all in all it was a very good appointment!

So, now we need to finish getting the school supplies and pack up the back pack! Figure out the BTS outfit for the first day and we should be good to go!

She is on her way to Third Grade.....I can't wait for all the fun we are going to have!

Finally moving forward...

Our souls always knows when it's time to move on. We fight those feelings, we resist them...we try to stuff them down or shoo them away....but our souls are persistent and keep sending messages....in fact, messages usually start coming from every direction when it is time.

It is hard to move on. It is hard to embrace the changes that moving on brings. It is hard to navigate away from what is comfortable and what we know....even when we know we've outgrown it or that it is destructive to us in many ways. Many times, we stay in places where we know we don't belong simply because it is what we know...and we are too afraid of moving on and into what we don't know.

Listen to those gentle and not-so-gentle pushes that your soul is trying to communicate. Moving on is important....if we don't move forward, we stay stuck. It's like a stream...or a river...when it stops moving, it gets mucky and contaminated........we need to constantly be finding our flow...we need to be growing and learning and moving.

Move on, sweet friend, if that is what your soul is urging you to do....and keep moving and moving and moving......
Keep moving forward.

My little boy......the first pet of my own. Webster Daniel, decided that October 31, 2010 was his last day with us. Passing away... somewhat peacefully in my hands that morning around 7:30am.

Thank you for the 12 years Webby. You will be missed & forever in my heart....I will never forget how soft your belly fur was, the whiney meow you had when you didn't want something/someone, the way you loved to eat, have fresh water from the fridge, and even embraced Jack last year when we brought him home. Thank you 'fuzzybutt' for all your unconditional love. xoxo

A message from a little bird.......

.....We all have parts of ourselves that need working on. We all think thoughts that aren't the best thoughts we could be thinking. We all do things we wish we would have done better, or differently, or not at all. We all make mistakes, every single day....every single one of us. And then, we all wake up every day with lots of chances to start over. It is one of the miracles of life.

When mistakes hold us back, they become bigger mistakes...in fact, the holding back that happens could really be an even bigger mistake than the mistake that was originally made! When we do something that we wish we would have done differently, or not at all....we need to do the best we can to make it right, and then let it go. We need to keep moving forward.

Let's not make the bigger mistake of keeping us from the future that is meant for us. You are not your mistakes. You are not your bad mood or your careless act or any of the other labels that come when mistakes are made. You are a human being....and you are learning something new every day. You are getting better and wiser and more equipped. You are doing a great job.

Let yesterday go, be done with it. Walk onto your light-filled path and make today a better day.

Had a night out in memory of our wonderful cousin Brenda.....

and we all agreed that we can't believe it has been 5 years,
because she is still so alive in our hearts.

She is truly missed....

So, we have been quite busy over here the past few weekends........

Annalise participated in her first Dance Competition

with the team she dances

with at Next Step Dance Studio.

For the 11 of them it was their first time competing together

with their group called CIT (Company in Training)

And they did awesome!!

in full hair & make-up with her Company gear!

with having the most eye catching costumes

They didn't do ballet for the competition, but we had picture week

I enjoyed working with this line of product

that Stephanie created....it was fun & so easy

to use. And we all know the volume of layouts

that I create that are in the color PINK so

this I thought would be a bigger challenge

than it was.....I enjoyed using every bit of

So, we just went to see the boys play soccer....

Larissa suggests we stop at HAWS.

Then Annalise finds this little sweetie...

His name is Squiggles......

10 weeks old

So, we all agree it would be good to bring him home....

and we picked him up today, she couldn't be more thrilled.

or the daddy.....

so we took this boy, named Sprinkles

(at the moment) to visit Uncle Danny,

Auntie Larissa, Jake, Harrison and Journey!

a little love for me too :)

Then we took him home....to meet

Webster.
Webster will learn to love him, right?

So, I would like to introduce you to

Jack

short for

Jack-o-lantern.

(yes, since we adopted him in October)

Saying Goodbye to Lily.....

On September 11, 2009 we had to make

the terribly hard decision to say goodbye

to our sweet baby girl, our little furbaby,

Lily....{Lily Bean}.....{Beanie Baby}.....

She had been sick for quite sometime, and was

weighing in less than 7 lbs at this point.

She stopped eating, didn't walk much,

was down to one working kidney and that one

only worked at 80%....was sick with IBD and

was showing signs of being diabetic.

When I looked at her frail little body,

she just looked sad and in pain....

So, we had that talk (again) with Annalise.

Letting her know how sick Lily was, how she needed

to go to the Vet and that she might not come home.

We told her that she was so sick, she might die.

She understood what we told her and she had

a heartfelt goodbye with her before she left for

school that morning. Lance drove her that day

and said that she cried quite a bit on the way to school

but was okay when he took her to class. It was heart wrenching

watching her say goodbye....I will cherish these photos forever.

After they left for school, I called the Vet.

Talked about Lily.....what was best for her.

We were to be there at 10:30.

2 hours.....can I do this?

Upon many tears.....we went.

I knew it was best for her.

I loved her that much.

We said goodbye to her in the car

before going into the vet.....

and took our final pictures with her there.

That sweet little face, her soft meows.....

her excitement over treats.....

will all be missed.

We will see you at Rainbow Bridge someday

So, we have been a bit busy......

I have been having so much fun working with all the new Bella Blvd product......

such an honor to be able to create for Stephanie!

Along with that, I still try and get in a 3, 4 or 5 mile walk a day.

Makes me feel so much better, and seriously, who couldn't use a little exercise!

This is the latest of what has happened around here at our house.....

Picked the princess up from my parents where she spent the afternoon playing.....

and I pull up the driveway, and she is doing this.......

on her cousins bike, which I guess she just picked up and tried it and was able to ride it!
So when we got home we took her bike out so she could show Daddy & me what a big girl she is!

Gotta love the proud Mommy moments!

This is the most exciting part of Kindergarten for me......the fact that my little girl can now pick up a book and read it to me......she loves to read....and has been for a while. She is enjoying the Dick & Jane chapter book so much that we read it every night. I love this part of her life, watching her grow, her love for learning....all of it. It just takes my breath away to look at her and see her becoming this amazing little person.....and she's mine :)
